The origami twirling bird is one of the easiest models to make, but its really fun and interesting! Try using variation types of origami paper to inspect which will twirl the best one.
1. Firstly, start with your origami paper white layer placed on side up. Fold the paper in half, as picture below.
2. Fold the paper in half again, crease it and open it.
3. Third, fold top of paper down through the baseline of the paper. As the picture below.
4. Fold whole of the paper in half.
5. Rotate the model 90o to left so it is now standing up as the picture below.
6. Fold down the top limb through the line as the picture above. Then do the same thing on the flap behind.
7. After that, fold the twirling bird's limbs back upwards so they sit horizontally, as the picture below.
8. Congratulation, your twirling bird is done and ready to fly!
To fly the Twirling Bird, throw it like flying a paper plane.It will tumble in circles! Isn't beautiful?
